It's exciting to see a surge in scientific research that proves the numerous health benefits of cannabis. This age-old plant has existed for centuries, but it's only in the last few years that we've come to know the many advantages it offers. Like many, I once associated cannabis solely with its psychoactive properties. But as it became legal and more information emerged, the world began to uncover its extraordinary health benefits.
Did you know that it was only in 1988 that researchers confirmed the existence of the Endocannabinoid System (ECS)? This remarkable system is the master regulator, responsible for maintaining the delicate balance, or homeostasis, of all our other 11 organ systems.
These include the integumentary system, skeletal system, muscular system, lymphatic system, respiratory system, digestive system, nervous system, endocrine system, cardiovascular system, urinary system, and reproductive system.
It's awe-inspiring to think that cannabis, with its array of cannabinoids (with 140 identified so far), functions like essential vitamins and supplements that help us maintain optimal health, BUT with the unique ability to regulate ALL our organ systems.
Last year, I had the privilege of collaborating with Green Bee Life to produce informative segments on CBD, Collagen, and Skin Care. These episodes shed light on the exciting synergy between cannabis-derived products and well-being:
· CBD and Collagen - Discover how CBD can boost collagen production for healthier skin in this video: CBD and Collagen (https://tinyurl.com/bdzhmfuy ) · CBD Skin Care - Uncover the secrets of anti-aging CBD botanical skin care in this episode: CBD Skin Care (https://tinyurl.com/282rwbh5 )
Since then, I've learned even more about the true potential of this remarkable plant and its ability to enhance our overall well-being. And it seems like each day, we are learning about new cannabis products. I'm honored to moderate a discussion on the Benefits of Cannabis for Baby Boomers at the upcoming Coachella Health Festival on November 18. If you're in the Desert and interested in attending, you can find the event details here - https://tinyurl.com/2bzpb5ca .
The next few years will be even more revealing as there is additional research on cannabis, its incredible contributions to our health and beauty, and the resulting new products.
