My Mayoral Campaign has been a learning experience and not all positive. I now give much more credit to anyone who runs for a public office.
I want to thank everyone who jumped in to help me; especially since I entered the race at the last minute. I learned that most candidates spent months if not the last year preparing for this race. Plus others have Campaign Managers, My campaign has been grass-roots and I've been performing every role from Campaign Manager to Treasurer to Social Media coordinator, etc. I have to admit that it's been a challenge. But as women, we are used to juggling many roles. Plus, it's not the first challenge I've overcome in my life -- and it won't be the last!
