Update Febuary 20, 2024
It's so sad to see such misogynistic behavior rewarded with a political appointment.

It's unfortunate that slut shaming still exists in our society, as it perpetuates harmful stereotypes and judgments about women's sexuality. It's important to challenge and reject this kind of behavior, as it is rooted in sexism and attempts to degrade and control women based on their sexual choices or expression.
When I was on a Zoom call with several women, we all agreed that some people are so jealous of sexual women that they 'SLUT SHAME' women who like Hot Sex or they just try to use sex to degrade women. Or think that any woman who is into hot sex will have sex with anyone.
Please stop doing this -- IT'S NOT TRUE and makes you look foolish and stupid! (and BTW not worthy of an enlightened sexual woman).
An example is that a few years ago I was having a 'discussion' on Facebook with a self-appointed community leader (we are on opposite sides of politics in our city.)
I mentioned that we had similar corporate backgrounds (I have an eclectic background - check out my Linkedin profile - https://www.linkedin.com/in/joanirvine/). He retorted with: "you forgot to mention that you were a sex therapist, wrote a book on sex, and have a sex TV program." Wow, this came out of the blue and had nothing to do with what we were discussing.
At first, I was shocked that a 55+ y.o. man would write this. Then I laughed and thought “Someone is trying to SLUT SHAME me at my age - COOL - but obviously, he must have sexual issues!"
I proudly responded: sex therapist - YES; wrote a book on sex – YES, and have a sex TV program - WORKING ON THIS!!!! (Update, I host a monthly radio show 'Your Best Life' on Healthy Life Net - https://www.healthylife.net/RadioShow/archiveJI.htm .
For this blog, I would like to reframe the word SLUT: a sexual, loving, uninhibited, and tantalizing woman!!!
For decades one of my favorite movies has been Barbarella starring Jane Fonda; released in 1968 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NX2hTObHfxM
Why?
1. It shows that women can have unlimited sexual pleasure.
2. Men can be intimidated by our amazing sexual power.
3. When men can't perform long enough to satisfy us, they attack us: "What kind of girl are you: have you no shame!"
As I stated in my book ‘Recipes for Hot Sex’: “Whatever is safe and consensual between adults, gives sensual pleasure, and creates a loving connection is natural, normal, and OK.” There are no rights or wrongs, just whatever works for you!
My basic formula for HOT SEX: lubricant, cannabis, and a vibrator. And of course, a willing open partner who is as concerned about my pleasure as much as his own.
What’s Yours?
BTW a big thanks to Jane Fonda for still being a sexy woman at 85!
I have been looking for older women for the type of intimacy you write of here but women over 60 and sexual is so hard to find. Amy suggestions?
